Final preparations

This update was sent to me at 2am last night. The folks in Chilbolton are obviously not getting a lot of sleep tonight!

Less than 12 hours to go until the LBA installation starts. The deadline looms near and final preparations are being carried out. Components, tools and equipment are ferried out to the field and documentation, checklists and plans are being checked and printed. But there's still a lot to be done, so it's going to be a busy night for the volunteer crew at Chilbolton.

Making the most of the long twilight. Here Harry Smith is unloading hundreds of steel anchor pegs.

The Land Rover pulls into the loading bay at the main observatory building. Another delivery is complete, but there is still more to be done.
